What's Included

One monthly price.
Everything you need.

Most weight loss telehealth brands charge for the medication, then upsell the care that makes it work. We include the whole program in the monthly price.

Quarterly metabolic lab panel
02 · Labs

Quarterly metabolic labs

Full metabolic panel every 3 months to track your progress, catch issues early, and adjust your program as your body changes. Most weight loss brands skip lab work entirely or charge separately for it.

Ongoing physician care via telehealth
03 · Physician Care

Ongoing physician care

A board-certified physician reviews your intake, prescribes when appropriate, and stays available for dose adjustments and questions throughout your program. Message your care team anytime through the platform — most questions answered within one business day.

Certified health coaching session
04 · Coaching

Certified health coaching

Dedicated coaches to help with nutrition, movement, and the habits that make weight loss stick after you stop the medication. The behavior work is what determines whether progress lasts.

The welcome kit

What arrives

Your prescribed medication arrives in a single delivery from a state-licensed 503A compounding partner, with everything you need to begin. For injectable formulations, that’s the medication, syringes, alcohol prep pads, and step-by-step dosing instructions. For oral formulations, the bottle of tablets and dosing instructions.

Some patients are asked to complete baseline labs before their first dose — your clinician decides based on your assessment responses.

The First 90 Days

What actually happens,
week by week.

Weight loss with a GLP-1 medication is a slow, physical process. Here's what most patients experience, honestly.

Editorial portrait, weeks 1 to 2: titration begins Editorial portrait, weeks 3 to 4: first dose increase Editorial portrait, weeks 5 to 8: settling into the routine Editorial still life, weeks 9 to 12: first lab review
Wk 1–2

Titration begins

You'll start at the lowest dose to let your body adjust. Appetite changes begin within a few days. Some patients experience mild nausea, constipation, or fatigue in the first two weeks — usually manageable with the GI support your care team recommends.

Wk 3–4

First dose increase

If you're tolerating the starting dose well, your physician increases it. Side effects often flare briefly with each dose change, then settle. Most patients report meaningful appetite reduction by the end of the first month.

Wk 5–8

Settling into the routine

Eating patterns have shifted. You're hungry less often, smaller portions satisfy, and food doesn't occupy as much mental space. Your first health coaching sessions focus on making nutrition work with your new appetite, not against it.

Wk 9–12

First lab review

At 90 days, your physician reviews your first quarterly metabolic labs with you. Outcomes at this point vary widely by individual, dose, and clinical response — your physician will discuss your specific lab markers and progress with you. This is where your program starts to feel like a permanent shift instead of an experiment.

Weight loss with a GLP-1 medication is not instant and not linear. Some weeks the scale drops. Some weeks it doesn't. Patients who see the best long-term results treat the medication as one part of a program that includes lab work, physician guidance, and behavior change.

Questions

Answers to what
most patients ask first.

Most low-cost compounded GLP-1 services are medication-only. You get a prescription and a monthly shipment, but no included physician visits, no quarterly labs, and no health coaching. Elara includes all of that at the subscription price. If you're new to GLP-1 therapy or want your medication to be part of a real clinical program, this is the difference that matters over a year or two of treatment.
Elara's compounded preparations are prepared by state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies — RedRock Pharmacy, Health Warehouse, Precision Compounding Pharmacy, or Triad Rx — operating under state pharmacy board oversight and meeting USP standards for sterility and quality. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as a finished drug product, and compounded preparations vary from pharmacy to pharmacy — which is why we disclose our partner pharmacies by name. Every prescription is reviewed by a board-certified physician before dispensing, and your physician stays available throughout your program for dose adjustments and any side effects that come up.
The assessment is free. If after reviewing your intake a physician decides a GLP-1 program isn't clinically appropriate for you, you're not charged and no medication is sent. This happens for specific medical reasons — certain medication interactions, underlying conditions, or situations where a different approach is better. If it happens, your physician will explain why and what we'd recommend instead.
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are gastrointestinal — nausea, constipation, occasional diarrhea, reduced appetite. Most are mild and occur during the first 2–4 weeks or immediately after a dose increase. They typically settle as your body adjusts. Your care team will walk you through what to expect, what's normal, and when to reach out. Side effect management is part of what's included in the program.
That's a decision you and your physician make together based on your progress. Some patients reach their weight goals and begin tapering after a year. Others stay on a maintenance dose longer. The health coaching included in your program is specifically designed to support the behavior changes that make it possible to come off the medication successfully when the time is right.
Yes. Elara is available in all 50 states + DC, subject to change. Our physician network is licensed nationwide and our pharmacy partners ship compounded medications across the country. Start your assessment and we'll confirm eligibility based on your state and clinical profile.
No. Elara is a direct-pay program. You pay the monthly subscription price, and everything listed — medication, labs, physician visits, coaching — is included. We don't bill insurance, which is how we keep the price predictable.
Yes. Subscriptions can be canceled from your account at any time, no phone calls required. The annual plan offers savings in exchange for a 12-month commitment. Monthly and quarterly plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment.
