Pricing questions

No. Your monthly subscription includes medication, physician visits, metabolic labs, health coaching, and 24/7 care team messaging. There are no enrollment fees, no lab fees, and no separate medication charges.
All plans include the same medication, physician oversight, labs, coaching, and care team access. The only difference is the commitment length and the per-month price. The Annual plan offers the best value, saving you up to $858/year compared to month-to-month. The 3-Month and 6-Month plans offer intermediate savings if you're not ready for a full year commitment.
Yes. There are no long-term contracts, no cancellation fees, and no penalties. You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting your care team. If you're on a longer-term plan and cancel before completing your commitment, your care team will explain how the remaining balance is handled - typically you'll be charged the difference between what you paid and what you would have paid on a shorter plan for the months you received.
After you submit your free 5-minute assessment, a board-certified physician reviews your profile within 24 hours. If you're a candidate, you'll receive instructions to visit Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp for your included metabolic panel. Once your labs are reviewed, your physician finalizes your protocol, your medication ships from our partner pharmacy, and your dedicated health coach reaches out to schedule your first session. Most patients receive their first shipment within 5-7 business days of physician approval.
No. Elara is a cash-pay program. Your subscription covers everything. There are no insurance claims to file, no prior authorizations to obtain, and no surprise bills.
Elara prescribes compounded medications prepared by licensed 503A pharmacies. Compounding allows pharmacies to prepare medications with the same active ingredients at a significantly lower cost than brand-name manufacturers. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved but are legal and regulated when prepared by properly licensed pharmacies.
Both formulations contain the same active ingredient and work the same way in the body. The injection is a once-weekly subcutaneous shot using a small needle. The oral version is a daily tablet, ideal for patients who prefer a needle-free approach. The injection is the most studied delivery method and is slightly less expensive. Your physician will help you choose the format that best fits your lifestyle and goals.
For tirzepatide, our compounding partner offers oral and injection formulations at the same price point. This means you can choose your preferred delivery method without worrying about cost - whichever works best for you and your lifestyle.
Elara is currently accepting new patients in most US states. The fastest way to confirm availability in your state is to begin your free 5-minute assessment - the first question asks for your state of residence and you'll be notified immediately if Elara is not yet available in your area. We're continuously expanding to new states.
Every patient responds differently, and your physician and health coach work together to set realistic expectations based on your unique biology and goals. Many patients report reduced appetite within the first week of starting their protocol. Sustained physiological changes typically begin in the first 1-3 months as your physician titrates your dose. The Elara approach is built around long-term, data-driven care - not quick fixes. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed securely through our HIPAA-compliant platform. HSA and FSA cards may also be accepted.
GLP-1 receptor agonists have been studied extensively in FDA-approved medications and are prescribed under physician oversight at Elara. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, mild stomach upset, and changes in appetite, which typically improve as your body adjusts. Your physician manages side effects by titrating your dose gradually and monitoring your response with quarterly labs. GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone, including patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. Your physician will review your full health history before prescribing.
